‘Damascus Time’ stands 2nd on top grossing list

‘Damascus Time’ has been ranked second at the Iranian box office in its fourth week of screening.

The flick stood on the second spot among the high grossing movies of the week, a local media reported.

The weekend gross for the movie reached 18,724,860,000 Rials which placed it on the second spot among box office top hits of the week. The total gross for the movie has reached 73,247,860,000 Rials.

Directed by Ebrahim Hatamikia, ‘Damascus Time’ revolves around security threats by terrorists when an Iranian plane, conveying humanitarian aid to Syria, is challenged in Damascus Airport.

Popular Iranian actors such as Babak Hamidiyan and Hadi Hejazifar as well as a number of actors from Syria and Lebanon are the movie's main cast.

‘Damascus Time’ has recently managed to grab some awards, including Crystal Simorgh for Best Director, at the latest edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
